Virtual Field Trips

Join us for a virtual field trip to your Los Angeles Zoo! Available in English and Spanish, this field trip is a choose-your-own-adventure-style exploration of the Zoo, and includes a multimedia presentation and a helpful PDF guide. It can be used by anyone, including teachers, guardians, and students. Have fun exploring!
Zoo Camplettes
Zoo Camp is one of our favorite times of the year. This summer is a little different, but kids still need animals, adventures, and mentors to inspire them. We’re pleased to share Zoo Camplettes: four fun activity packs that each explore a different Zoo theme.
Nature Tries

Ricky the Raccoon interviews various animals – from a California condor to a coyote – to learn fascinating facts and share what viewers can do to help these creatures and other native wildlife.

We partnered with veteran Walt Disney Animation artist Brian Kesinger on a series of draw-alongs spotlighting endangered species that the Los Angeles Zoo has brought back from the brink of extinction.
Habitats are Homes for Animals

The Los Angeles Zoo has created a series of activity packets focused on four different environments that are home to animals in our Zoo and our community: Rainforest, California Condors, Streets to Streams, and Backyard at the Zoo. Each packet in the STEM-based series provides a beautifully illustrated, full-color poster and several activity sheets that challenge kids to think about, observe and engage with nature.
